Stephen Chan 

Micro Focus a provider of enterprise application management and modernization solutions, has appointed Stephen Chan as Regional Director, Asia. With more than 14 years experience leading sales teams at multinational companies, Chan is responsible for driving growth and expansion in Asia, and reports to Jorge Dinares, Vice President, International Sales & Services.

Based in Singapore, he is also in charge of all aspects of business development in Asia, including direct and channel sales and ongoing engagement with customers and business partners.

Prior to joining Micro Focus, Chan was Regional Manager, Asia, for Integrated Research Limited, where he was responsible for the region and closed significant deals with Fortune 50 organizations for the company’s Asia Pacific/Middle East/Japan region. He held a similar position at NetIQ Corporation, where he achieved the largest quarter for NetIQ in Asia, as well as consistent growth of quarterly revenue. Previously, Chan was Senior Business Development Manager, Emerging Markets at VERITAS Software Corporation and was awarded the Asia South’s Top Sales Award for delivery consistent growth during his tenure.


David Hughes

David Hughes is now SAS’ Vice President of Asia Pacific (AP) operations, reporting to Mikael Hagström, Executive Vice President of SAS Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. In this role, Hughes will be responsible for managing SAS operations in AP, which include developing new business and implementing business practices that support SAS’ Pan-Asian and global initiatives.

Most recently Vice President of Sales in Canada, Hughes has a history with SAS that spans 15 years. During his tenure at SAS Canada, his extensive industry experience and leadership was instrumental in the incremental annual growth that established significant market share in key industries.


David Teoh

David Teoh has been named Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of ObTech Asia Pacific’s Technology division. Teoh has been with ObTech since 2000 and has held various senior positions within the company. He last held the position of Group CFO for ObTech Asia Pacific. Teoh is also credited for being part of the core team that has propelled the growth of ObTech in Asia. As CTO, David will play a key role in ObTech’s next phase of growth that aligns with NEC’s strategy for the company.

In addition, ObTech has also appointed Raymond Chu as Country Head for ObTech in the Philippines. Chu has been with ObTech in Singapore since 2006. As Country Manager, Chu is responsible for the growth of ObTech’s business in the Philippines. He oversees operations and sales of ObTech’s three offices located in Manila, Cebu and Davao, managing a team of 15 consultants and marketing executives.

Chu has more than 8 years of strong experience in the sales and marketing of enterprise business solutions. He joined ObTech in 2006 as a Business Manager. Prior to his current position he was Senior Business Manager at ObTech Asia Pacific in Singapore.


Liam Walsh

Liam Walsh has been made Sales Director for Microsoft Advertising, Australia. His previous position was lead for Microsoft Media Network in Australia. He will be reporting to the Consumer and Online lead in Australia, Alex Stewart.


Timothy Liu

Industry veteran Timothy Liu has joined Sophos as its Regional Director for Greater China, and will oversee a new executive team comprising Tony Chung as Regional Sales Manager for China, Allan Lan as Country Manager for Taiwan, and Candy Chan as Sales Manager for Hong Kong.

In his newly created role based out of Hong Kong, Liu will be responsible for driving Sophos’s business development and channel strategy throughout China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Formally Director for Greater China at McAfee, Liu brings more than 17 years of demonstrated sales management experience to Sophos, and is tasked with aligning regional objectives with global strategy and growing Sophos’s business throughout the region. He will report to Jim Dowling, Director of Sales for Asia who is based in Singapore.

Liu has held similar regional sales and channel management roles prior to McAfee, including with Novell and System Pro Computers.
