Now around for more than 12 years ad:tech expositions, LLC is the leading organizer of conferences and exhibitions for the interactive marketing community worldwide. ad:tech events are produced by dmg world media that organizes the world's largest interactive marketing shows which are held in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, London, Paris, Sydney, as well as now four cities in Asia namely Singapore, Bejing, Shanghai and Japan – the new kid on the block with the inaugural ad:tech Tokyo that will be held on 2 & 3 September 2009.
ad:tech Singapore 2009 took place this month from 9 – 10 June at Suntec International Exhibition and Convention Centre. The event was organized there for the second time to meet the essential needs of the interactive marketing community in the region. It shared key insights into the major marketing and digital platform trends in 2009, including social media and youth marketing with 5 keynote sessions and 16 different engagement and learning opportunities presented by industry icons, veterans and leading brands from Asia.
The show attracted brand advertisers, interactive agencies, portals, on-line publishers and technology providers, offering a great opportunity to exchange thoughts and ideas, discovering new practices and technologies on how to utilize the net and how to build brand recognition. It was also a fantastic networking opportunity for digital media peers as well.
I was impressed by the organizer’s unusual and innovative conference program consisting of two parallel running sessions that fed the needs of advanced digital marketers as well as beginners. The “Advanced Marketing and Branding” sessions put on view the who-is-who of the industry in a line up of high profile discussions. For attendees curious to get more practical expertise and more basic know-how there was the option to participate in digital training workshops that dealt for instance with email, search, affiliate, or social marketing campaigns. Both expert panel discussions and workshops were professionally managed to leverage the power of the maturing digital advertising arena. Focused on practical examples that every brand can learn from, the sessions explored how to foster direct interaction with engaged consumers and brands.
The quintessence of the show is indeed as Paul Beckley, Vice President, ad:tech Singapore stated in the beginning: “Online advertising and digital marketing platforms can no longer be seen as new media” as it has definitely already entered the mainstream.”
ad:tech delivered its audience insights into the current status of the digital marketing industry, making very clear that nobody can do without it anymore and that with the continuing decline of ad spend in many of traditional media businesses, budget spend on interactive media will continue to gain momentum. With the continued growth in technology and the use of digital media, ad:tech will stay on top as it offers the superb opportunity of exposing the new practices and technologies of the digital age. So take your chance and keep up with the times. Learn how many of the great names have utilized the net, built brand recognition and immersed themselves in digital technologies on one of the next ad:tech events (http://www.ad-tech.com/) and watch out for more on ad:tech Singapore in the upcoming issue of Asian e-marketing - http://www.mediabuzz.com.sg/asian-emarketing/may-june-2009.
