CITIC Telecom International CPC Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of CITIC Telecom International Holdings Limited , is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Frank Cai (Dawei CAI) to be the Vice Chairman of CITIC Telecom CPC effective 28th February.

Further, Mr. Stephen Ho has determined to retire from the company after nearly 20 years of service and to step down from CEO of the company effective 31st January 2020. Mr. Esmond Li (Bing Chi, LI), Chief Financial Officer of CITIC Telecom has been appointed to the additional role of CEO of CITIC Telecom CPC effective 1st February 2020.

Mr. Cai has more than 20 years of experience in the field of telecommunications, management, network operations, communication and information technology development, as well as outstanding contributions in new business expansions. While joining the new role as the Vice Chairman of CITIC Telecom CPC, he also acts as the Vice Chairman of China Enterprise ICT Solutions Limited and Corporate Representative of CITIC Telecom in the board of Companhia de Telecomunicacoes de Macau, S.A.R.L. Prior to joining CITC Telecom Group companies, Mr. Cai had held various senior executive positions at China Telecommunications Corporation and China Netcom Corporation.

Li
Bringing with him a wealth of 35 years of extensive experience in the finance and accounting field, Mr. Li has strong analytical skills and entrepreneurial mindset that are essential to drive the growth of a company. He is an Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of the Group and the President of China Entercom, as well as a Director of CTM. Mr. Li joined CITIC Pacific Limited (now known as CITIC Limited, a company listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited) as Vice President, Telecom Project Development in 2001. He worked as Chief Financial Officer of CITIC Telecom CPC from 2004 to August 2019 and was transferred to CITIC Telecom in 2007 when CITIC Telecom CPC was acquired by CITIC Telecom. Prior to joining CITIC Limited, Mr. Li was with Netalone.com Limited, the Cable & Wireless HKT group and Ernst & Young.

In this newly created role, Simon will lead all aspects of marketing for APAC, including go-to-market strategy, digital marketing, partner marketing, and branding and awareness programs.

Simon is a respected marketing leader with over 16 years of experience in leading teams to surpass ambitious sales objectives across geographically dispersed territories. She offers extensive knowledge in exceeding organizational and sales objectives with a focus in APAC regions, as well as developing and driving scalable marketing plans that support the growth of businesses. Most recently, Simon served as head of marketing, APAC, for Temenos, and has previously held marketing roles at Quadient and Neopost. Simon earned her master’s degree in International Business Development, Marketing from EM Strasbourg Business School in France.

Simon’s appointment is part of CleverTap’s aggressive global expansion strategy following the completion of a $35M Series C funding round led by Tiger Global Management and Sequoia India. The company is using part of the funds to fuel team growth across Asia, the US, Latin America, and Europe.

The aim is to bring the topic of AI closer to as many people as possible: What is AI? What can AI (and what not) do? And how are AI methods developed?

The courses combine theoretical knowledge transfer with practical exercises, and participants can set their own pace of learning. It is planned to provide the course in all European languages in the near future.

PierreViacomCBS Networks has appointed Pierre Cheung to an expanded role as Senior Vice President & General Manager of Asia with a brief to better align the company’s operations between these markets and target new commercial opportunities as a result. Cheung reports into Raffaele Annecchino, President, ViacomCBS Networks Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia. He joined ViacomCBS in 2015 as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Greater China, where he oversaw the management and operations of the Greater China office, across brands and departments, while developing the long-term strategic plan in China. Prior to joining the company, Pierre worked at BBC Worldwide, where he was General Manager of Greater China.

Siebe Beintema will work closely alongside Paul Heijmans, who is appointed as VP Application Software R&D. Heijmans will lead the R&D application software department and will report to Dick Moerkens, CTO at Ultimaker. He brings over 20 years of experience in software engineering to Ultimaker, that includes developing custom software, building software products, to building and running software as a service. Heijmans will focus on shaping and executing Ultimaker's software strategy, the development of Ultimaker Cura and other future software related services. CJ ENM HONG KONG LTD rejigs the Distribution and Marketing functions by combining them under Brand Partnerships Team based in Singapore Branch Office.

With this change, CJ ENM HK elevates Mickey Ong to new role of General Manager, based out from Singapore office. Mickey now oversees Brand Partnerships as well as Scripted Series production business for South East Asia including Hong Kong and Taiwan. He continues to report to Michael Jung, Managing Director of CJ ENM HK. Brand Partnerships is a one stop shop for Pay TV, OTT, Media and Trade partnerships with two Brands that it operates - tvN (Korean general entertainment) and tvN Movies (Korean movies).

To achieve the aims, three new hires are added. Patrick Lim & Mandy Mah joins as Senior Managers.

  • Patrick come with more than 20 years of regional experience in the media and communications industry, especially in media relations, marketing and promotions, previously with NBCUniversal Asia, Singtel and Mediacorp.

  • Mandy has been in the media industry for more than 7 years. Passionate about content, she has managed distribution for linear, on demand, digital and formats as well as affiliate marketing across Asia Pacific with Viacom International Media Networks and Mediacorp. Mabel Lim joined as Manager since December 2019. Formerly Assistant Manager Resort Marketing – Overseas at Resorts World Sentosa, Mabel comes with good experience in regional marketing in APAC (Indonesia, Philippines, Australia and South Korea) markets in the tourism industry. Through her 7 years in marketing for attractions and integrated resort brands, she has experience in market strategy, media planning, creative execution, targeted digital and social media activities and brand partnerships.

Prior to Qualtrics, he was a management consultant at Bain & Company overseeing CX engagements for various global and Fortune 500 clients.

Stucki holds an MBA from Duke University and is now responsible for leading the global strategy, growth, delivery, and operations of Qualtrics’ customer experience offerings.
