Singapore’s President Tony Tan officially marked the start of the World Cities Summit (WCS), Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) and the CleanEnviro Summit Singapore (CESS) at an opening ceremony held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre this week.

Together with other dignitaries, he was given a preview of the key highlights of the three events that provided a unique integrated global platform for government and industry leaders to share solutions for sustainable urban development and the latest innovations in water and clean environment solutions.

For participants, all three events – the 3rd CleanEnviro Summit Singapore, the 5th World Cities Summit, and the 7th Singapore International Water Week -  served again as a terrific platform to explore synergies, forge partnerships with a wider range of global industry leaders, policy-makers and experts, and showcasing global thought leadership in sustainable development while enjoying extensive networking opportunities. Fact is that this integrated global marketplace again brought together leading companies and innovative start-ups in the business of urban development, water, and waste and cleaning management to showcase new and cutting-edge solutions for smart nations and urban environments.

Next week, Asian eMarketing will go into more detail by providing insights into new trends and technologies, specifically in the area of smart cities technology, such as IoT and cyber security, as well as video surveillance, to lead up to the topic of the month.
