             Dear Reader,

             Artificial intelligence has become indispensable in marketing, since it is analyzing large
             amounts of data much faster than the human brain ever can. By now, the systems have
             progressed so far that they even deduce appropriate conclusions and act accordingly.

             That’s why AI technologies are taking centerstage not only in innovation hubs like Silicon
             Valley, but big platform companies like Amazon, Google, Baidu or Alibaba are joining forces
             and invest billions of dollars. AI promises more efficiency, new business ideas, and completely
             new sales opportunities. The field of application for AI is almost unlimited.

             In the context of customer communication, AI has found without doubt its place as well, when
             looking at chatbots that are able to process a large part of customer inquiries automatically
             due to a comprehensive, underlying database and intensive training. But will AI be able to take
             over customer communication - completely? Where is artificial intelligence in marketing
